The Honorable Burke Strunsky has long been committed to fair justice in Riverside County, California. A co-founder of the Humanity of Justice Foundation in 2009, he has previously been a Senior District Attorney for Riverside County. In 2016, he was elected to the bench as a Superior Court Judge. In January 2022, he announced that he will run against incumbent Riverside County D.A. Mike Hestrin, who he says is bought and paid for by police unions, and who has overseen the bloating of the prosecutor's office budget by tens of millions of dollars. Judge Strunsky talks with Joy Silver on this episode of Outspoken about what sets him apart from Hestrin and how he will restore law and order, and fiscal responsibility, to the law and order machine in Riverside County.
