Writer & Editor Allison Gaines, who co-founded the Writers and Editors of Color organization, pays a return visit to Outspoken with Joy Silver. She is pursuing her PhD in Psychology and she writes about race, women history and politics.

The focus of this conversation is to discuss the failure of the Voting Rights Act, Martin Luther King’s message as well as Malcolm X’s message, the history and the strategies of the White Power‘s activities of suppression, what would be considered a BIG WIN - and what we need to do to overcome our gravest challenge to Democracy since Reconstruction in this country.
